If You Have a Uterus

This work explores the societal taboo and stigma surrounding menstruation. It aims to challenge the viewer to reflect on the origins of life, tracing it back to the fertilized egg that nestles into the endometrium (the unshed period) of the uterus. This work explores the critical role that the nutrient-rich endometrium plays in nurturing life and highlights the paradoxical nature of periods, which signify the shedding of the uterine lining but also mark the beginning of new life. This work invites the audience to contemplate the vital significance of the endometrium and re-evaluate perceptions of menstruation.
